HOLIDAYS……

June 27, 2009 · 2 Comments

Holi WOW! What a holiday!

We came back from Malaysia tired and refreshed. I know – contridicting words but its true.

Philip got sick the nite before we flew off to Thailand and I got so worried on Apsie’s adapting back to her normal routine. It turns out that I was just going mum-zilla! Hehehe….

Mum-zilla that I was, I persuaded Philip to bring the whole family for a check up at the hospital the day after we touched down just to be sure that we are not by any way affected by the (H1N1) flu and the Pd confirmed that Apsie was just fine, bless his soul;p

Considering Apsie had the most chaotic time of her life for the last 3 weeks, I was so glad and I mean GLAD! That she was ok – going thru hundreds of people from the only 2 persons in her life I can imagine just how taxing it was let alone dealing with jet lag, different time zone and noisy environment (well kampung life meant community life which means people 24/7!).

Seeing Apsie’s separation issues during the period had us deciding that once the flu season is over, we will enroll her in baby sign language classes by Gymboree just so that she will be among other kids her age. We can only hope this opportunity will help her be more open and comfortable among  those other than her parents. It just breaks my heart everytime she cry when strangers though well meaning carries her away.

Here’s two photos taken by Uncle Spencer Duis during the Ambaga Generations Harvest Festival cum family gathering on 31st May 2009 at Akung & Moing Ganang’s place.

FIRST TOOTH

March 29, 2009 · 1 Comment

Hip Hip Hooray! I have my first tooth today. I am 5 months and 2 weeks old. Mum found out when she was giving me a sponge bath at the end of the day. It’s on my bottom jaw and on the right hand side front teeth that’s showing.

Mum was so excited that she laughed and sing throughout the whole night. Dad too was proud of me. He said I’m no longer a baby but a brand new toddler!!!

Earlier today dad saw a ray of sunlight against our front door that he used it as a backdrop while taking photos of mum & me. Mum called the photos her ray of sunshine and there I was wearing my little headband by ‘Goody’! It’s a none slip and not tight that I can bear to wear it. Now all I need is to get a pink colored one;p

BAPTISM IN HOLY REDEEMER CHURCH, BANGKOK

March 11, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Baptism Dress

Baptism Dress

What do you think of the dress? Isn’t it beautiful…. Inai Ganang found this in the net and suggested it as my baptism costume!

Pity though that I won’t be baptise in Sacred Heard Cathedral, Kota Kinabalu coz the rule is we have to attend a course by the church which is only scheduled 3 times a year and there’s none in May which is the time that we are going home from Bangkok (meaning the rules were created by Sabahans who are in residence and not for those who lives away;()

I look at the bright side of this situation, I will be baptise in Holy Redeemer Church  which is a beautiful church and check out the website!!!.

Mum & dad have to book a baptism the day before the ceremony and it will be at 12 noon! How’s that for hassle free baptism!!!

Mum plans to have the baptism around my birthday so everyone can come and join us in this blessed occassion. This is going to be such a special occassion and I hope everyone in the family can come!!!……

Woke up to Akung & Moing

Playing with Akung & Moing on the 2nd day of their visit

I woke up to Akung & Moing visit, as you can see from my bird nest hair style and the messy bed.  They came to town from 10th – 17th Feb coz Moing miss me so much;)

We had a great time visiting the 100 years market at Chacheongsao (although moing had food poisoning eating the pumpkin with jelly – a typical thai dessert).

We all reaquainted ourselves with each other. Akung also taught me to ride the stroller at Centan World coz I refused to use it the 1st time mum & dad put me into one, hehehe….

Love u Akung & Moing!!!

Baby Apsie with her dad

Baby Apsie with her dad

I took this photo using my LG K800 during our tea at Greyhound Cafe in Thong Lor, Bangkok. The weather was purrrrrfect and my two special persons are together playing with each other.
We bought baby Apsie a rocker stand for her moses basket at Mothercare shop. Now all I have to do is to get baby Apsie to sleep while being rocked;p
