My pink scooter for Xmas curtesy of Akung and Mum. My scooter even have a place for my Barbie doll and her mini pink scooter with a special round bag for my handle bars. I love my pink scooter! I even went to sleep with my scooter beside me.

Having a lovely sandcastle building time at Tanjung Aru III Beach! We will come here everyday until our holiday is over!

Apsara first exposure t fireworks at home. She keep on saying I want more and had such fun chasing the cloud of smoke after the sparkly fire lights:)

We were having lunch at the pool bar when suddenly, directly on my line of eye site a man jump fully clothed into the pool. The expression on his face at that point of time was ‘Please God let me get to him in time’. His son was bobbing up and down just in front of us waving his hands trying to reach for air and nobody even notice! There was no sound coming either from the son nor the dad! Total silence! All I did was bang on the table, no sound coming from my mouth accept for frantic gushes of noise which to my ears perceived as shouts to the dad to hurry, hurry, hurry! That was then one of the waiter noticed my strange behaviour and turn to the general direction of where I was looking and saw what it was all about. Even then he calmly went to the father son and asked whether they need any help! If I wasn’t so shock I would have laugh at the ridiculous situation that was. Thank goodness the boy wanted to continue swimming and playing after that incident. Good for him but as
you can see in the photo, the dad in yellow shirt stayed with the boy in the water. This was in Hyatt Regency, Kuantan. Hehehe….

Aps had her first taste of castle building and she remembered ‘Kailan’s waa digging in Mandarin’ while doing so! She has yet to figure out that to build one you need wet sand but thats what daddies are for – to carry heavy wet sand so their princess can make masterpieces in the sand;)

Dad invited a reader of his column to join us for dinner at Sai Malaka’s place with my mummy uda, akung n moing together with cuz Werry and his wife. I had a great time with che che mione while mei mei lishia was crying a lot coz her tooth is coming out. Poor thing. 


It was yummy, though the chicken soup cooked in bamboo is a bit salty but it was good. Since i don’t get to eat salty food often, i love the soup n mum allowed me to have as much as i want for once. I guess its bcoz of the merriment going around last nite. 

Mum loved the talapia grilled in banana leaves and the palm oil stick which we were supposed use it to squash the steaming hot rice until its yellowish like chicken rice. As for the fern and lamiding vegetable was fried with dried tiny prawns which is why moing can’t eat it. 

Mum also tried the Sarawakian tapai which is made with star anise, cinnammon and a whole lot of different stuff. 

Mum said it tasted a bit like whiskey with rice smell and not at all sweet. Different from our tapai which has a strong sweet rice flavour and alcohol.

Che che Mione taught us kids how to jump down from the stage n i gave everyone a fright by jumping down bare footed! Che che Ashley keep on telling mum tat i can do it n no need to worry:) 

Thanx che che Ashley.  I also love aunty Li lin in her princess dress and uncle Wee hee was so handsome.

I oso had a good appetite drinking a bowl of shark fin soup and ate 4 krispy mini springrolls! I love the ‘keropok’ that were served with the roasted chicken too! Wow! I ate a lot!:) Mum was soooo happy….

Mum said this photo reminds her of photos taken when they were kids. They have a sepia kind of feeling to it. Mum took this photo to take an overall photo of the new McDonald drive thru there. Notice the rooftop. Its so green! That was also the day dad interviewed Ris Low, Ms Singapore 2009 at McD. The article was for his column,’One Man’s Meat’ every Monday with The Star.
