Mum said that this holiday was the best we’ve ever had. Just the cosy family of three…… She had her reservations being that X2 was a strange name for a resort and it’s 3 or 4 hours drive from Bangna (our apartment), Bangkok. Mum made a sign of relief when she saw the lobby coz it promised another of Mr Duangrit’s simple but complex design (meaning the place was worth the ride;)

Our room was a pool villa with a beautiful private pool which fascinated me but only for the first day, after tat mum had to drag me in just to play with the water. The villa had 2 showers, outdoors & indoors but we used the indoor one more coz of the chilly winter winds.  The resort is right next to the sea and the view was gorgeous!

During Loi Kratung celebration, the staff gave us a float where we lit candles & incense while wishing for a happy and fruitful new year. There’s a nice seafood restaurant just 7 km away from the resort which we tried and the nice staffs took us to a market in town to buy 2 huge watermelon to give to them for Loi Kratung celebration.

As for me, I had 3 splinters on my right foot, a wonderful holiday with mum & dad and to top it all off - a good tan with all the skinny dipping in our beautiful pool at X2 Resort, Kui Buri.

Dad took all of us; mum, me, aunty Meryl & Ina to Taling Chan floating market which is 1 hour away from Bangkok. The taxi (Innova Toyota) charged us RM200 for a round, day trip to Taling Chan & Amphawa district.

Mum said that the fishes swimming freely in the river are those released by locals who did merit at the temple next to the market. The market even have a stall selling fish food. The best thing about the market though is the yummy food we ate – chicken satay, phad thai, pork & vegetable soup with steamed rice and Dad tried this really sweet flower crab which are full of juicy and fluffy meat.

We didn’t eat on the floor like the Thais but at least we get to sit next to a ceiling fan due to the hot & humid air. While eating, the overhead train went noisily passed us and local boys just dropped down like rocks from the train tracks. I was so fascinated with the passing long tail boats but phew the diesel stench was a turn off!!! All in all it was a feel good trip and hope we can do this again soon…..

We had a lovely time having tea at IBerry Cafe in Thonglor, No. 15, Bangkok yesterday. Mum wanted to get me the bacterium enriched yogurt from Villa supermarket near the cafe but was unfortunate coz they do not have the brand that she wanted. We ended up not buying any;(

Dad sent mum & me to the taxi stand where else he took cheche Lulu, aunty Meryl & Ina to Nana Plaza for a nite out in town.

Wow! What an event! The nite before her birthday baby Apsie could not sleep and cried so much. The daddy assumed that she’s very excited because Aunt Meryl and Grandma Ina is in the room sleeping with us but I think it’s just because she can feel the excitement building up for the ‘event’!!!

The baptism starts at 10am so we all caught the taxi by 8.55am from our apartment at Evergreen View Tower, Bangna to The Holy Redeemer Church at Ruamrudi Rd, Bangkok.

Everyone was ushered into the chapel at the repository, 2nd floor where we met Father Peter who conducted the baptism for us. He requested for us to choose a Saint’s name for Aps but we decided to let Aps choose one herself during confirmation or when she’s 12 years old. Therefore Father Peter baptised Aps with her own Thai name for .

The celebration lasted 45 minutes and Aps cried everytime Father Peter came near;p but she behaved beautifully at her birthday party at Seasons Cafe located right in front of the church. We had Father Peter, Philip’s workmates, my parents & sister (Livy) with che che Mione, Philip’s mum and sister (Marilyn) with us. A shout out for Khun Mam of Seasons Cafe outstanding service coz she helped us get Aps birthday cakes from the bakery next door.

The buffet spread they prepared for us was beautiful and everyone enjoyed the traditional thai cakes served as desserts. Aps was feeling grand with all the presents that she received and had a great time running around the cafe.

Thank you to everyone for being there with us. And for those who can’t be with us on that special day, your wishes are blessings and everyone will be in our memory of Aps 1st birthday celebration in this world.

And to Aunty Meryl/Godmother Marilyn Thanx so much for being Aps godmother! We know that she is good hands and you will guide her in her growth towards Jesus. We love you loads muah, muah, muah;p

Akung Danny is here! And he will be the first one in our family other than mum & dad to see me walking! Akung Danny took me to see fishes in Siam Ocean World in Siam Parragon, Bangkok and I saw big sharks, stingrays and loads more!

Mum was impressed with the fish that have legs and I enjoyed the penguin feeding show. Akung loved the jellyfish dance studio but the best thing yet was I got to run around with Mr Shark watching over me???;p

I slept thru the 3D movie  with special effects over loud noises and shaking but I woke up when the lights was on;p What a wonderful visit.

At last am able to drink from a straw!

It was so hot after a walk by the beach at Cha-am, South Thailand when mum & dad decided to stop over a restaurant for dinner. Mom was drinking from a cola can and I decieded its time to be adult and try the same thing. Grabbing the can so I can get to the straw, mum patiently guided the straw into my mouth and I just sucked and sucked until I can taste the bubbles in my mouth. Jerking from the unexpected sensation of popping bubbles in my mouth I spilled some on my trustee bib.

Mum was so suprised that I actually manage to sip the coke at all that she just stared at me with her mouth open. Getting over her suprise, she laugh her special laugh and told me how proud she is of me! I beamed with pride though am no longer able to sip the coke, I got my next favorite drink, H2O!!!;p

Yea! We did our baby and kids fair for the first time at Queen Sirikit Convention Center, Bangkok yesterday on 29th August 2009. There’s not a lot of good bargains but we found a shop that sells Stooke products. The staff asked us bout our ergobaby carrier coz they will get their stock within 3 weeks time. I told them that the sport model is better for the tropical climate and we are looking for the sucking pads. Hope they’ll order some so we can at last buy for baby apsie! Wish us luck!

Crib shoe

It was a choice between blue and pink so the pink won. Not only its chompoo’s namesake but it also matched almost all of my clothes.

Mum & dad bought them at Robinson at Seacon Square, Srinakarin coz I was already climbing down sofas & chairs to walk.

No, I’m not talking about myself. Yesterday, I met up with the friendly Araya “Chompoo” Hargate, who is a Thai actress and Thailand’s sexiest woman. Dad interviewed her at Bangkok’s Siam Paragon. He shall be publishing his story soon in The Star. Mummy, Kg Ganang’s sexiest woman, was with me too. By the way, mum is the one on the left.

Dad treated me & mum after doc gave me a clean bill of health from my very first fever with a temperature of 38.8 degrees yesterday.  He took us to this very nice restaurant called Kratip Restaurant at the Mall, Bangkapi.  The staff were so friendly that I allowed them to carry me while mum had her dinner;p
