HOLIDAYS……

Holi WOW! What a holiday!

We came back from Malaysia tired and refreshed. I know – contridicting words but its true.

Philip got sick the nite before we flew off to Thailand and I got so worried on Apsie’s adapting back to her normal routine. It turns out that I was just going mum-zilla! Hehehe….

Mum-zilla that I was, I persuaded Philip to bring the whole family for a check up at the hospital the day after we touched down just to be sure that we are not by any way affected by the (H1N1) flu and the Pd confirmed that Apsie was just fine, bless his soul;p

Considering Apsie had the most chaotic time of her life for the last 3 weeks, I was so glad and I mean GLAD! That she was ok – going thru hundreds of people from the only 2 persons in her life I can imagine just how taxing it was let alone dealing with jet lag, different time zone and noisy environment (well kampung life meant community life which means people 24/7!).

Seeing Apsie’s separation issues during the period had us deciding that once the flu season is over, we will enroll her in baby sign language classes by Gymboree just so that she will be among other kids her age. We can only hope this opportunity will help her be more open and comfortable among  those other than her parents. It just breaks my heart everytime she cry when strangers though well meaning carries her away.

Here’s two photos taken by Uncle Spencer Duis during the Ambaga Generations Harvest Festival cum family gathering on 31st May 2009 at Akung & Moing Ganang’s place.
