May Doctor’s Appointment

Whew! Doc. gave me a clean bill of health. Guess what! I heard your heartbeat beating strongly in my womb. The doppler screen showed 168, which is the normal heart rate for a baby. Doc Supa said you are now near my belly button.

Philip asked whether I can feel your kick and Doc said shouldn’t yet but I swear I felt you. I know I felt you because we can hear your heartbeat near the sharp pains.

We do not have thalassamia honey. We are home free and you are going to be fine. Doc changed my multi-vitamins that includes zinc now and it comes in 60 tablets. She also gave me calcium tablets just in case of cramps.

PS: The seabands worked! I wished I found out about it in the earlier months. It will be so much help especially when you cuz came over during Good Friday (19 March 2008) for a visit. You can see the photos she took in her blog.

Natural Solutions

I was reading Junior Pregnancy & Baby magazine for April/May 2008 issue on Natural Solutions of prenatal & postnatal concerns by Zita West. She wrote about Seabands (wristbands) which used acupressure concept to control nausea and vomiting during pregnancy. The thing that perked me up is that it’s available in Boots!

So I asked hubby to get a pair for me and I just got it last nite!!!

Pity that I’m over the heavy session of nausea and vomiting since am approaching the end of my forth month but at least I can try it when a spell come. Apparently the effect starts instantly! So will keep tabs on my experiment with Seabands.
